Stopped at a fromagerie where we discovered that ALL the cheese here is squeaky. After some research, fresh curds are supposed to be squeaky. Have determined, funny as it is, we don't like our cheese squeaky.

When are fresh curds supposed to squeak exactly? During the manufacturing process? While being ingested? While being digested? I was raised on the West Coast where there is no history of squeaky cheese. Anyway, off to the Maritimes for fish and crustaceans ( and potatoes if you stop off at PEI)
