We both slept a bit on the ferry which arrived in Sydney around 7am. We drove to Baddeck, Nova Scotia and hummed and hawed about driving the Cabot Trail. The weather was iffy and as we discovered, one does not see anything in the rain. So as good telephone employees we were, we went to the Alexander Graham Bell museum. Not the ode to telephones I expected and turned out to be a good little museum. Did you know he founded the National Graphic magazine? Invented the metal detector, can you imagine. Many artefacts from his experiments have been donated by the family who still reside in the family home in Baddeck and he is buried there.
